Aqina Group started our business few decades ago as a humble red chicken exporter; we purchased red chicken from local chicken farms in Malaysia and exported it to Singapore. Over the years, the group has became the biggest red chicken exporter in Malaysia, and had ventured into various parts of the red chicken businesses, such as chicken breeding, chicken boiling and farming, feed-mill operation and chicken processing, wholesaling and retailing.

Currently, we operate 10 Agri-Food & Veterinary Authority of Singapore (“AVA”) approved chicken farms in the southern part of Peninsular Malaysia which has a total capacity of 700,000 birds at any one point of time, and dominated 70% of the daily red chicken consumption in Singapore.

In the year of 2004, the group noticed an overall reduction in the global pineapple supplies, as many pineapple plantations in Malaysia and around the world were converted from pineapple planting to palm-oil or other more profitable agricultural commodity. As the group is originated from the Pekan Nanas (“Pineapple Town”) in Johor (Malaysia), the group decided to invest into pineapple business; and we have a total 500 acres direct/sub-contracted pineapple plantation, and a pineapple packing center.

Moving forward, we will continue to continue to expand our pineapple plantation, and we believe Aqina will be a key player in the international pineapple trading in the very near future.
